Description:

Provides scholarship awards to high school students planning to attend an accredited college or vocational training school. Offers $1,500 Scholarships to qualified students pursuing Higher Education. Limited amount.

Eligibility:

Must be Lake County high school senior and enrolled, or planning to attend an Illinois accredited higher educational institution or vocational training school. Must meet income-eligible guidelines.

Call to make an appointment.

Documents required:
-Must bring scholarship application
-Must acquire a letter of recommendation and a copy of a transcript from the school they are attending
-Must acquire a letter of recommendation from someone within the community.
-Proof of household income for the 90 day period prior to the application date
-Must submit a 500-word essay, typed and double spaced, which includes the applicants important life experience, what receiving this scholarship would mean, what community action means to the applicant, and what contribution applicant intends to make to the community.
-Attach a photo of yourself for publication in the Agency Newsletter.
-Valid Social Security Card
-Photo ID
