Description:

Offers free tax preparation for low to moderate-income residents who earned less than $60,000. The program will run from February 4 through April 15, 2023, and is available to taxpayers with basic returns.

Intake Process:

Call to schedule an appointment.

Documents required:
- Photo ID for tax payer and spouse
- Social Security Cards or ITINs for everyone on the tax return
- W-2 Forms
- Any other IRS forms (1099R, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, etc.)
- Child care provider name, address, phone number, and ID number if they want to claim the Dependent and Child Care Tax Credit
- Information/document for education expenses, small business expenses, etc.
- Voided check for direct deposit
- Last Year's Tax Return

Volunteers needed Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM - NOON.

Volunteers have access to online training on the IRS website. Here are the levels of help needed:
- Greeter & document copier (requires certification in Standards of Conduct !€“ about one-hour training on confidentiality and ethics)
- Intake (requires certification in Standards of Conduct and Intake / Quality review !€“ approximately 3 hours of training)
- Advanced Tax Preparation !€“ particularly Spanish Speaking Volunteers - (requires around 20 !€“ 40 hours of online training and certification)
