Description:

Offers one-time financial assistance for rent or mortgage for Lake County residents. Clients may receive up to two months of rental assistance, once per year.

Eligibility:

- Must be a Lake County resident
- Must meet income requirement: 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines
- Tenants living in subsidized housing or with a Section-8 voucher are not eligible

Call for an intake interview

Documents required (varies, on a case-by-case basis):
- Photo ID for all adults in the household
- Social Security Cards for all household members, including children
- Proof of income for all household members for the last 30-days prior to application date
- Proof of lease agreement
- Eviction or late notice, if applicable

Volunteer Opportunities:

- Youth & Family Services Volunteer: Food Pantry - Annual Holiday Basket Give-Away during the month of December. Volunteers are needed to sort groceries and pack holiday baskets for Lake County families in need. Youth volunteers welcome.

- Annual Anti-Poverty Walk: The 1st Saturday in May, volunteers load and unload tables and chairs, set-up & breakdown tents and check-in walkers at registration. Other volunteers are needed along the 5K route to man water stops and finish-line concession stands.
