Description:

Offers parents of newborns a safe and legal alternative to abandonment. Allows for parents to hand unharmed infant to staff at a designated Safe Haven location. Parents will remain anonymous. Safe Havens include:
-Police stations (including campus police station)
-Fire stations
-Hospitals
-Emergency medical facilities

Also provides a 24/7 confidential helpline to answer questions about the Safe Haven law.

- Open to all
- Babies must be no more than 30 days old and unharmed

Intake Process:

Safely relinquish unharmed newborn up to 30 days old to a person at any of the following facilities:
- Police Station (including Campus Police)
- Fire Station
- Hospital
- Emergency Medical Facility

Babies must be handed to a person at a Safe Haven location. No questions will be asked. No one will try to stop or follow parents.
