Description:

Pays tuition and mandatory fees at all Illinois public and community colleges for Illinois veterans. Mandatory fees include:
- School activities, fitness centers, recreation centers, gymnasiums
- Bonds
- Facility Operations
- Grants
- Health services
- Instructional support (textbook fees, rentals, copying costs)
- Registration
- Student Services
- Technology
- Transportation

Eligibility:

- Must be an honorably discharged veteran residing in Illinois six months before entering the service, or were a student at an Illinois public 2- or 4-year college at the time of entering federal active duty service
- Must have at least one full year of active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, or have served in a foreign country in a time of hostilities in that country
- Must return to Illinois within six months of discharge from the service
- Must not be in default on any student loans or owe a refund on any state or federal grant
