Description:

Aims to provide family support and stabilization to prevent children entering foster care. Provides temporary housing for children if parents are in an emergency situation and have no one to help them watch their children. Emergency situations include:
- Hospitalizations
- Lack of childcare
- DCFS involvement
- Addiction recovery programs
- Homelessness
- Incarceration

Children are placed with families that have undergone background checks and training that are similar to foster care. The average length of stay with the host families is 30-45 days.

**Note: This is NOT a child care or foster care facility.**

Eligibility:

Must be families with children under 18 years of age and who are in emergency crises.
Must be a parent(s) who still have custody of their children.
Must not not have relatives who are able to care for their children.
