Description:

Offers training and competition in adaptive sports to individuals with disabilities. Provides opportunities for physical fitness, athletic competition, social interaction, and community involvement. Virtual programs also available.

Eligibility:

Individuals with a physical or visual disability and are 6 years of age and older

Program Fees:

Set program fee:
- $240 per year or $20 per month
- $120 per year for college students
- Scholarships and discounts are available
* No one is turned away due to inability to pay

Auction Items, free facility rentals (including gym, track, field, or pool), new or gently used sports equipment (including helmets, weights, ski goggles, basketballs, footballs, golf clubs, tennis rackets, etc.), airline miles, hotel points.

Volunteer Opportunities:

- Program Volunteer - Provide hands-on support for programs by coaching, teaching or supporting athletes.
- Administrative Volunteer - Support programs by assisting with office duties, data entry or other tasks. Opportunities to support PR, fundraising, WordPress website design, or other areas.
- Special Event Volunteer - Support key GLASA events: Gala, Great Lakes Games, Twilight 5K Run, Walk & Roll and Marathon Team.
- Leadership Opportunities: Board of Directors, Young Professionals Board, Women's Auxiliary Committee & Junior Board (Ages 6-18)
- Volunteer photographers and van drivers are always welcome
