Description:

Provides emergency food assistance to residents of Lake County. Items include two pounds of frozen meat per family member. Clients can also choose items from bread shelves, produce tables, and more.

Eligibility:

Must be a Lake County resident. Individuals may receive assistance once every 30 days.

Individuals seeking to donate food or other items to the pantry should contact the Pantry Operations Manager at 847-662-1230.

Volunteer Opportunities:

General Pantry Volunteer - Assist Pantry staff with sorting, packaging, and distributing food to visitors.

Pantry Warehouse Volunteer - Assist Pantry staff with unloading truck, moving boxes, and general support for large truck pick-ups and deliveries.

Pantry Donation Pick-Up Driver - Assist Warehouse Manager with donation pick-ups from local grocery stores. Must be 25 years or older and have a current driver's license in good standing. COOL will provide the truck.

Pantry Counter Volunteer - Assist pantry staff at the counter to log guests into our data entry system. Must be computer literate and willing to volunteer 2 hours a day (10:00 AM - NOON). Must be willing to commit to volunteering on a regular basis (same day or days each week).
