About this Provider

Description:

Provides qualifying households with monetary relief for their energy bills. Clients may receive a one-time payment for utility bills.

*Program is run by the Community Action Partnership for Nicor Gas.

Must be Lake County resident and meet the following income guidelines:

Intake Process:

Call Community Action Partnership to schedule an appointment. Annual recertification required.

Documents required:
- Photo ID
- Proof of income for the last 30 days
- Social Security cards for all household members
- Current utility bill
- Copy of rental agreement (if renting) showing that utilities are included, the monthly rental amount, and landlord contact information
- Proof of benefits if receiving assistance from the Illinois Department of Human Services
