Description:

Provides resources and support for individuals in need. Operates as a network of churches that help individuals meet their needs for the following:
- Household items and furniture
- Life skills education (budgeting, healthy relationships, etc.)
- Clothing

**Does not provide emergency relief or financial assistance**

Eligibility:

- Must be resident of the eastern half of Lake County (roughly divided by Route 45)
- Must be referred by caseworker or pastor
- Must be participating or willing to participate in a self-sufficiency program
- Must have a working telephone number

Intake Process:

- Call to request help and schedule phone interview (no walk-ins)
- Referral required from a caseworker or pastor

- Basic furniture in very good or new condition (no rips, tears, or stains). Specifically: dressers, kitchen table & chairs, lamps.
- Basic kitchen items in new or very good condition, such as pots & pans, casserole dishes, manual can openers, wooden spoons, toasters, microwave, silverware.
- Household linens, such as bed sheet sets & comforters, bath towels, kitchen towels, oven mitts

Volunteer Opportunities:

1. Warehouse: sort, clean, and repair donated items
2. Clearinghouse: receptionist, database support, general filing & special projects
