Equestrian Centers

Programs that make any of a wide variety of equine facilities and services available to the public. Included may be western and English riding instruction, jumping instruction, dressage instruction, horse rentals, recreational riding excursions, riding camps for adults and/or youth, horse boarding and/or training facilities, horse show arenas and sponsorship of horse shows or other informal equestrian competitions which enable students and other local riders to demonstrate their equestrian skills. Other amenities may include restaurant/bar and banquet facilities, conference/meeting rooms, grass fields, and supply and tack shops.

Golf Courses

Programs that develop, maintain and make available to the public, courses that are laid out for the game of golf with a series of nine or 18 holes each including a tee, a fairway, a green and often one or more natural or artificial hazards.

Ice Skating Rinks

Programs that develop, maintain and make available to the public, enclosures that are equipped for ice skating.

Recreation Centers

Centers, often operated by the local community department of parks and recreation, that offer, at a single location, a variety of recreational facilities such as athletic fields and courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool and locker facilities. Recreation centers usually offer an organized program of activities for community residents of all ages and provide all necessary equipment.

Swimming Facilities

Programs that develop, maintain and make available to the public, swimming pools which may be equipped with diving boards of various heights, slides and other equipment.
