Description:
Provides drug users a fast-track to substance abuse programs and services. If a client is in possession of any illegal or legal drugs, the representative will take them and destroy them appropriately. Criminal charges will not be sought against those seeking help. A representative will deliver a phone screening to the Lake County Health Department. Based on the evaluation, outpatient or inpatient treatment tracts will be recommended.
Note: If you are unable to pay for treatment due to lack of insurance or financial resources, you will not be turned away from participation.
Eligibility:
Must not have a warrant out for arrest or are currently being charged with a crime in Lake County

Program partners are able to accommodate a variety of circumstances and accept different insurance plans.
Intake Process:
Walk in and inform reception you want to participate in A Way Out.
For after hours, locate the call box on the wall and tell dispatch you want to participate in A Way Out. A program representative will be with you to take you through the next steps.
