Description:

Provides monthly financial assistance of $350 to help individuals with living expenses, which may include medical assistance and other basic needs. Aide is provided until they find employment or while they wait a disability decision.

Eligibility:

- Zion Township resident over the age of 18 and meet income eligibility guidelines
- Must not receive or qualify for cash assistance from any other governmental agency (i.e. SSI, Veteran's Assistance, TANF).
- Must be actively seeking employment.
- No income and no means of an income
- Supplement Security Income claim.

Additional Eligibility Conditions:
-If one voluntary left a job without due cause or were terminated for misconduct, you must wait 30 days after termination to apply.
-If one is not a United States citizen, one must be a permanent resident by law and have resided in this country for five years to be eligible
