Description:

Offers training and competition opportunities in adaptive sports to individuals with physical and visual disabilities. Including physical fitness, athletic competition, social interaction, and community involvement. Virtual programs are also offered.

Eligibility:

Individuals with a physical or visual disability and are at least 6 years of age or older.

Program Fees:

Set program fee:
- $240 per year or $20 per month.
- $120 per year for college students.
- Scholarships are available.
* No one is turned away due to an inability to pay.

Volunteer Opportunities:

- Program Volunteer - Provide hands-on support for programs by coaching, teaching or supporting athletes.
- Administration Volunteer - Support programs by assisting with office duties, data entry or other tasks. Opportunities to support PR, fundraising, WordPress website design, or other areas.
- Special Event Volunteer - Support key GLASA events: Gala, Great Lakes Games, Twilight 5K Run, Walk & Roll and Marathon Team.
- Leadership Opportunities: Board of Directors, Young Professionals Board, Women's Auxiliary Committee & Junior Board (Ages 6-18)
- Volunteer photographers and van drivers are always welcome
