Description:

Provides monthly financial assistance to eligible Township residents with basic living expenses. Aide is provided until they find employment or while they await a disability decision.

Eligibility:

Must be a resident of Grant Township and meet income eligibility. Must complete application at the following programs prior to appointment:
- TANF, SNAP, Medical and/or AABD
- Illinois Department of Employment Security
- Social Security Administration

Call for an appointment.

Documents required:
- Application, found on website
- Birth Certificate/Proof of Citizenship
- Lease agreement, most recent rent receipt, or mortgage statement
- Social Security Cards for all members in the household
- Photo ID
- Proof of Income
- IDES letter of unemployment
- Bank statements
- Proof of marriage, divorce, or separation
- Copy of most recent tax return
- Letter of acceptance or denial from other agencies
- Written verification that client is receiving or has applied for SNAP, TANF, AABD, medical card, unemployment benefits, SS/SSD/SSI, and child support
