Description:

Offers taxi cards for older adults or people with disabilities. Each card has a value of $8 and clients can receive up to sixteen subsidies per month. Subsidies are automatically loaded in the card at the beginning of the month. Cards may only be used at American Taxi or 303 Taxi.

Note: Ride subsidies will not roll-over from month to month. If your metered fare is more than $8.00, you are responsible for the remaining amount, as well as any tips you wish to include at the time of travel. The ESC may not be used as a tip. Taxi companies will only be reimbursed for the metered fare.

If an ESC is lost or stolen, please notify the Village of Vernon Hills immediately.
The first ESC is provided at no cost; replacement cards cost $5.00 per card.

Rides are subject to driver availability.

Use of an ESC by someone other than the resident to whom the card is issued will result in revocation of the ESC and suspension of the resident from the program.

Visit website to fill out application. Mail or visit during program hours to apply.

- Photo ID
- Proof of residency
- Physician's statement (if disabled)

ESCs are available to registered users at the Village Hall or, if requested, by U.S. Mail. ESCs may only be used by the resident to whom the card is issued.
