Description:

Provides life skill training to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Offers skill training to able able to learn to:
- Budget
- Manage medications
- Schedule doctor visits
- Housekeeping skills

Eligibility:

Per Title 59 Illinois Administrative Code, Part 115 !€“ Standards and Licensure Requirements for Community-Integrated Living Arrangements criteria for participation of individuals includes:

An individual receiving services in a CILA shall:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a mental disability and be in need of an array of services and a supervised living arrangement

All of Pioneer Center residential programs are open to all qualifying individuals regardless of race, creed, color, or sex.
If Pioneer Center does not have the capacity to accommodate the individual!€™s particular type or level of disability, this does not render the individual ineligible for CILA services.

All individuals must meet all screening and assessment requirements as determined by the local pre-admission screening agency, Service Inc of Illinois.

The individual will complete all other agency intake requirements through Pioneer Center!€™s intake department

Intake Process:

The individual or guardian shall give informed consent to participate in a CILA, which shall be documented in the individual!€™s record.
The individual or guardian shall agree to participate in the development AND implementation of the individual integrated service plan, which shall be indicated by the individual!€™s or guardian!€™s signature on the plan or a note describing why there is no such signature.
The individual will complete all other agency intake requirements through Pioneer Center!€™s intake department
