Description:

Provides college readiness program to help students get to and graduate from college. Offers homework help, mentoring, and career exploration. Provides help with college applications, scholarship applications, and financial aid applications. Offers ACT and SAT preparation and college visits.

Volunteer Opportunities:

1. Homework Help Tutor - Work one-on-one with a 5th-12th grade student (based on your preference) in a specific subject. Spend at least one hour per week helping with homework, test prep, and class assignments. Session times are flexible and available in person or virtually.

2. Read to Achieve Tutor - Meet weekly with a 5th-8th grade student for 45 minutes of guided reading. Help improve pronunciation, fluency, and comprehension using books or articles at or above grade level. Session times are flexible and offered in person or virtually.

3. Mentoring - Build a meaningful, long-term relationship with a student starting as early as 9th grade and continuing through college. Serve as a positive role model, explore careers and college options, strengthen life skills, and introduce new experiences. Mentors meet with their mentee at least twice a month, in person or virtually.

4. Other - Share your expertise in areas like grant writing, career day presentations, financial advising for families, event planning, media/marketing, and more. If you!€™re interested in working with us outside of these opportunities, complete the volunteer interest form, and our staff will connect with you.
